I studied painting at Wrexham College of Art, UK, then Louisiana State University, USA, graduating in 1993.  I sold at a number of exhibitions in Baton Rouge between 1992 and 1994, and in the UK in 1994 and 1995.

After this, my focus turned to raising my family and I moved into an unrelated profession to earn a living.  My creativity was unexpressed for many years.

Between 2017 and 2020, a confluence of life events gave rise to a heightened awareness of the preciousness of life and the development of a meditative practice. The imperative to create became irrepressible and I took steps to allow space and time for this to happen.

After six months of making, in many different mediums, my attention turned once more to painting. And so I picked up where I had left off a half-life ago, and now I continue to put in the hours to develop my craft, with the patience of age. I believe I have found my voice.
